Work was finished at the end of November(see gallery ). The MUGA will be a tremendous asset to both the school and the community for participation in sporting and leisure activities. VILLAGE FETE 2PM. ON SUNDAY 13th. JULY
Against all predictions the Fete day’s weather was a classic English Summer day. Therefore plenty of people turned out. The PARK ROSE OWL AND BIRD OF PREY CENTRE was a tremendous success. A few adults and children thrilled to have a hawk or an owl sit on their gloved arms. School children gave performances featuring both song and dance. All the stalls were well visited: The Brownies Bouncy Castle, Soak a Brownie & Gues the teddy bear’s name. Plant Stall, Dowsing Stool, Cake Stall, Coconut Shy, Card Stall, Playgroup’s Stall, Ryedale Dog Rrescue. Plate Smashing, Bungee Stretch Football Game, and Leavening Embroidery.

Open Gardens Day is a Blow Away Success
After a slow first hour, the number of visitors picked up and in the afternoon there was a continuous flow up and down Main Street, and there was a general feeling of enjoyment around. We were very lucky with the weather, which whilst it was very windy didn’t rain as it did the day before and indeed on the night of the day itself. The net figure is £902.76. This is made up of Admissions, refreshment sales, plant sales, donations and the collection from the evening service. Insurance for the event had to be deducted from the gross total. Whilst visitor numbers are hard to estimate, a suggested figure of around 150 maybe a reasonable estimate.
