The Venerable Bede. It is one of two churches in the Parish of Acklam and Leavening with Barthorpe. |

Leavening Play Area. Adjacent to the school, but behind the car park, the play area is a little hidden. However it has been the focus of a great village effort to refurbish it. |

Leavening is a place where visitors are welcome. The local accommodation consists of Farmhouse B&B’s in close proximity to the village. |

The picnic site is situated atop Leavening Brow on the Birdsall Rd. It has many picnic tables, a car park and wonderful views. From here you can see the North Yorkshire Moors, the White Horse at Kilburn, Castle Howard, Yorkminster to name but a few places. |
