Leavening Play Area. Adjacent to the school, but behind the car park, the play area is a little hidden. However it has been refurbished in recent years.

The picnic site is situated atop Leavening Brow on the Birdsall Rd. It has many picnic tables, a car park and wonderful views. From here you can see the North Yorkshire Moors, the White Horse at Kilburn, Castle Howard, Yorkminster to name but a few places.
