Leavening Fails to Get Behind Its Village Shop

The Leavening Village Shop Committee is sad to announce that we have been forced to abandon plans for a shop and post office in Leavening. Despite generous support from a good number of people in the village we did not reach the financial targets needed to prove both the long term viability of a shop, or to prove sufficient support from within the community for this project.

All of the committee would like to offer their sincere thanks to everyone who offered support to the project over the last 7 months, whether it was money, time or expertise they gave.
